Trench is an Edinburgh-based technologist & artist working across large-scale multimedia installations, mural works, film and animation, as well as more traditional forms of illustration.
His projection works have been gracing buildings in London, Amsterdam, Dubai and Berlin, for the last 10 years
Trench’s mural works can be found appearing across the streets of the UK.
In 2020, his street portrait work was gifted to US President Biden by the people of the UK. The work, a portrait of freed slave & abolitionist Frederick Douglass, given to mark his career amid the world backdrop of BLM. His street pieces often explore aspects of social commentary & activism.
2021 saw the full design and installation of 2 large immersive building installations for the world-famous TED talks.
His interests in folklore, the anatomy of death and its ritual connection between worlds, are presented through a modern lens .
Trench looks at our world as a curious active observer where the magic of nature and dystopia, life and death, beauty and decay, are often vibrantly close.
